This is a new adaptation of The Rivals (Richard Brinsley Sheridan, 1775) by Murray Fane. A comedy of manners set in Bath, England, The Rivals follows Captain Jack Absolute, who disguises himself as a poor ensign to win the romantic heiress Lydia Languish, leading to mistaken identities, parental interference, and a near-fatal duel. The perfect Valentine’s date evening.
