Warm your winter night with a performance that will inspire the mind and ignite the spirit. Inside Out showcases the talented dancemakers who call Madison Ballet home.

Artistic Director Sara Stewart Schumann debuts Winter, the fourth and final section of her series based on Vivaldi’s Four Seasons. Ballet Master Tom Mattingly’s sleek and dreamlike Inflow makes a return appearance to the Bartell stage joined by a world premiere by company dancer Andrew Erickson.Malachi Squires presents his sensuous tango-inspired ballet The Restless Hours set to the music of Astor Piazzolla.

Finally, Ballet Master and Madison native Rachelle Butler premieres an original ballet featuring fan-favorite dancer Jacob Brooks. Butler’s compelling work explores the difficult path faced by artists of color who are expected to fit into the traditional ballet ideal of beauty.

All tickets to Madison Ballet’s performances are sold through the Overture Center, but this performance will take place at the Bartell Theatre.

Advanced ticket sales cannot be made at the Bartell Box Office, but Overture Center staff will be on hand at the Bartell to sell tickets starting one hour before each performance – Will Call tickets may be picked up at the Bartell Box Office starting one hour to curtain, as well.
