A PLACE in the WOODS

by Erik Gernand

Directed by Suzan Kurry

Assistant Direction by Amy C. May

Shaun, a gay man living in Chicago, is called back to his childhood home in rural Indiana when his mother is found incoherent and wandering down a country road late one night. With his teenage son in tow, Shaun attempts to quickly bandage the situation and get out of this town he’d rather forget. But things are much worse than Shaun expected: his childhood home is in foreclosure and a dark family secret rears its ugly head.

A New Play from the playwright who gave us THE BEAUTIFUL DARK in the 2014–2015 season.

“…intense and interesting…Director Suzan Kurry knows exactly what she’s doing…” – Channel3000.com

“Gernand’s script has a sense of humor as it glides through an increasingly dark story…” – The Badger Herald
